Job Title: Data Analyst/Data GovernanceLocation: Auburn Hills, MI OR Frisco, TX
Duration: Long Term (HYBRID)
This person will collaborate with Data Stewards, Information Architects, Data Quality Analysts, and Business/Technical Stakeholders to research and document data, metadata, and reference data to ensure it meets specific use cases and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities
Data Documentation and Define data security classificationsAnalyze data profiles with data users and stakeholders to enable an understanding of the data being considered for a use caseCatalog data, create Data Dictionary and basic metadata available, and is associated with a regulation or policy if requiredDefine data quality rules and data standardization needsMaintain comprehensive data documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage, data flow diagrams, and source-to-target mappingsData Guidance and Use: Guide users in understanding their data, its quality, and data selection based on use case to ensure data is fit for purpose.Collaborate to identify needed data sets and critical data elementsDeliver data requirements to data engineering for configurationValidate for data quality and useWork in an Agile framework for delivery of tasks within a defined project sprintFollow established data standards, procedures, and processes to ensure data meets the needs of the use case and applicable regulatory requirements.
Experience
5 years experience in data governance and/or data management5 years experience serving in the role as a data steward, business analyst, or data analystProficiency in data profiling, statistical analysis, data analysis, data quality, and data standardization / cleansing techniquesStrong data query and analytics skills; ability to analyze data trends, identify patterns and proactively address potential data quality issuesProficient in documenting data catalogs, source-to-target mappings, data lineage, data flow, and procedural documentation for audit or executive review2 or more years experience working on Agile project teams use of JIRAExperience with Collibra, Informatica, and Snowflake (Python, R is a plus)
