Software Engineer . See details below:About The Role:VetraFi is on the hunt for an Agile Software Engineer ready to tackle the challenges of an early-stage startup. You'll play a pivotal role, working directly with the CEO and their burgeoning engineering team, driving the growth of both their team and product portfolio. You'll be instrumental in refining their technical stack, improving their development processes, and fostering team collaboration.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and a demonstrated team-player. You will be responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable codeDevelop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements which includes:Constructing VetraFi's banking client to interface seamlessly with our partner bank. Involving:Integration with essential BaaS provider APIs for account openings, fund wiring, account closures, etc.Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standardsSupport test and deployment of new products and featuresParticipate in code reviewsImplement and refine engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices to enhance productivity and product qualityJob Qualifications:
Versatile full stack with 3+ years in the field. Startup or fintech background strongly preferred but not essentialBachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) (strongly preferred, but not required)Familiarity with our current tech stack, including Typescript, React Native, Express, AWS, and GraphQLExperience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologiesAbility to multi-task, organize, and prioritize workCapable of progressing rapidly without micromanagement, valuing autonomy in planning and executionProactive, ambitious, and professionally mature, ready to lead and innovateBased in the NY area, comfortable with a hybrid work model (2 - 3 days in-person / week)
