We are looking for a highly motivated junior software developer to join the Innovative Technology Solutions team at Horrocks. You will report to the Applications Manager and assist with all functions of software coding and design. Your primary focus will be to build, test, and deploy innovative business applications. You will also be responsible to support end users, configure and extend business commercial ‘off-the-shelf’ applications, and troubleshoot technical problems.Responsibilities, Expectations, And Duties
Work as part of the applications team tasked with developing business applications designed to support Horrocks business goals. These applications include a variety of technologies and platforms and include both internal business applications as well as commercial products.Assist the Senior Developer with all aspects of software development, troubleshooting, data pipelines, and technical support.Collaborate with the Senior Developer in the development process.Collaborate with the Applications Manager by taking part in various business workflows, solving technical problems, and supporting non-technical staff.Develop applications from the ground up as well as update existing applications.Proactively contribute to our business goals with creativity and technical expertise.Qualifications, Skills, And Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in IT, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.0-2 years’ experience in Software Development.Demonstrate a good working knowledge of basic programming theory, the ability to learn new technology quickly (read and understand documentation).Professional level skill with:HTML/CSS/JavaScriptNodeJS with ExpressPythonRESTful API’sReactGITFunctional knowledge of or familiarity with:ArcGIS PlatformArcGIS JavaScript APIArcPyArcadePreferred skills or experience:NextJSTypeScriptFlaskDockerMicrosoft GraphAWS EC2TailWind CSSAt Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
