If you are interested in pursuing a rewarding career, we invite you to review our opportunities!Job Description SummaryPosition Responsibilities:Become a sustainability subject matter expert (SME) on current and future technology and best practices to manage energy, water, waste, and vehicle fleet electrification.Develop strategies and execute plans for energy and water optimization, carbon emission reductions, sustainability management, and waste reductions.Work with others to develop project ideation, validate cost savings, and execute projects related to the reduction in energy use, building management systems, and the electrification of our vehicle and equipment fleets.Develop best operating practices for sustainable design and proper operations of our locations and building energy management systems including vehicle electric charging infrastructure.Review and evaluate Federal/State/Provincial programs related to grants, rebates, and tax incentives for energy efficiency projects.Partner with the Facilities/Real Estate Team to develop Sustainability Engineering Guidelines for all new buildings and locations.Develop and execute short-term and long-term strategies to meet enterprise-wide carbon reduction goals in close collaboration with business unit partners.Develop and execute a renewable energy plan that would include on-site photo voltaic project execution, purchasing Green Power products, and executing Power Purchasing Agreements (offsite and virtual) for Sunbelt’s US and Canadian operations and Support Center.Partner with Sunbelt’s Procurement Team to develop and execute an electricity procurement program for all our deregulated and regulated electric markets.Requirements: Education & Experience:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, engineering technology, or environmental sciences.Project and program execution of carbon reduction across scope 1, 2, and 3 categories with a successful track record of achieving business efficiencies as well as environmental benefits.Strong understanding and experience working with industry best practices as it relates to carbon reporting and accounting protocols and associated science – including familiarity with Science Based Targets and execution of CDP reporting submittals.Experience with or exposure to environmental program management in areas of waste, water, and/or biodiversity.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Physical Demands:Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines.
