Fleet Sustainment , a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Production Planning and Scheduler 4 to oversee and optimize our production scheduling processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing production schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products while meeting customer requirements and organizational goals.What You Will Do
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.What You Must Have
10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.Candidate must have experience in assessing structural, mechanical, and electrical systems for material condition on US Navy ships and barges.Candidate must have experience in report writing and quad chart development is preferred.Candidate must have experience performing shipchecks on US Navy ships and barges.Candidate must be willing to Travel as required (approximately 25% or more travel time).Candidate must be able to obtain / maintain a Secret Clearance.Bonus Points For Having!
Prior experience working at a US Naval Shipyard in an Engineering Discipline/Senior Subject Matter Expert in HM&E systems.Planning and Estimating experience.Physical Requirements
