Principal Software Engineer - Digital Assets APIs

The RoleAs a Principal Software Engineer for Digital Assets APIs, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a new API platform for accessing Fidelity Digital Assets℠ Services. This is a hands-on role where you will work across engineering, architecture, and product teams to deliver a complete API offering that is reliable, resilient, and meets the needs of our customers.The Expertise and Skills You BringBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required8+ years of software engineering experienceStrong experience with Java and Spring BootExpert in designing, building, and documenting customer facing RESTful APIsExperience with WebSockets and/or FIX APIs is a plusPrior experience designing and building large scale production distributed systems to support public facing websitesFamiliarity with AWS services architecture and solution patterns is preferredExposure to infrastructure as code, test automation, CI/CD, and containerizationProficient in databases and SQLAbility to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environmentsStrong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given timeAbility to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirementsThe TeamFidelity Digital Assets℠, a Fidelity Investments Company, is developing a full-service enterprise-grade platform for storing, trading, and servicing digital assets, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
