Description:

A ServiceNow developer to design, code, debug, test and implement major/difficult programming modifications, changes and new development. Will proactively analyze, recommend and implement solutions to provide continuous system availability and improve performance. Troubleshoots and resolves highly complex and unique system problems, failures and issues.As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will be responsible for maintaining and performing continual service improvements on the following implemented modules: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, DevOps (Agile), SecOps. You will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Work with product owner/stakeholders to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet business requirements.Document and maintain functional business requirements, process flows and business use cases.Perform operational administrative tasks, as needed.Assist with report configuration and maintenance, as needed.Configure and maintain data integrations between ServiceNow and other systems.Design/Develop ServiceNow Forms and Tables as well as Modules.Develop Workflow/Flow Design where required to drive Approvals and Process Lifecycle.Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal).Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.Act as team leader on projects.Instruct, assign, direct, and check the work of other software developers on the development team.Participate in development of software user manuals.Best Practices and Governance:Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, agency security guidelines, governance policies and maintain as close to an out of the box environment as possible.Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.Stay updated on ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends.Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.Desired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification highly desired.Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development of the modules listed above.Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SOAP and REST APIs.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.In-depth knowledge of implementing ServiceNow Architecture and ServiceNow Scripting.Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production.Demonstrated knowledge of service management processes, procedures, and software, and including knowledge of ServiceNow.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or certification in healthcare or information technology and a minimum of seven (7) years of Microsoft, web, social media or interface technology experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Advanced to expert technical proficiency with Microsoft, web, social media or interface programming languages, applications, tools and utilities.Advanced to expert knowledge and experience with client, interface or integration environment.Proven ability to design system-wide, integrated solutions with other specialists and architects.Extensive knowledge and experience utilizing healthcare software applications and/or related revenue applications, interfaces and clinical applications.Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.Strong knowledge of the application and the business line being supported.Ability to provide routine mentoring and technical guidance to support staff.Ability to provide staff support for business and technical projects, assignments and analysis.Ability to manage projects.Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis.Strong customer service skills. Ability to interface with internal business analysts, hospital client users and external vendors.Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Must possess a willingness to learn and develop skills.Must possess the ability to work in teams and with direct supervision.Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.A personal presence which is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals and values of Trinity Health.PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well-lit, temperature-controlled and free from hazards. Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations on technical issues. Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in person communications.
