We are the largest licensed provider of childcare in Delaware and the only statewide Boys & Girls Club in the nation.Each and every day, girls and boys are left to find their own recreation and companionship. An increasing number of kids are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know they have a place in their community where they can go. Clubs provide a safe haven for youth, allow them to meet with friends and be a part of positive peer groups. Club programs teach life skills, conflict resolution, and focus on the development of character. Clubs also provide members with positive role models and a nurturing environment that helps improve decision-making skills.Position SummaryThe Donor Database Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of the development database and plays a critical role in ensuring the success of our development efforts by maintaining accurate donor records, implementing donor stewardship strategies, and producing reports and analysis to support development goals.Work Hours : Monday-Friday; hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site.Essential Functions:Manage and maintain the donor database, including gift entry, data integrity, and donor records management.Ensure accurate and timely acknowledgement of all donations, including gift processing, thank you letters, and tax receipts.Reconcile gift entry with accounting monthly, helping to ensure donations are being used as the donor intended.Produce regular reports and analysis on fundraising performance, donor trends, and campaign results to support decision making and goal setting.Stay contemporary and informed about best practices in database management and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures.Provide training and support to staff on using the donor database for donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.Maintain a structure of attributes, code tables, business rules, and all other setup functions.Develop dashboards and reports to provide snapshots of fundraising and event activities.Qualifications & Educational RequirementsBachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent years of experience.Minimum of three years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or database management, preferably with a nonprofit.High-level proficiency with donor database systems, preferably Blackbaud (Raiser’s Edge), and high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with donors, staff, and volunteers.Physical Requirements/Work Environment:Ability to effectively communicate across multiple channels and departments within the organization.Meet multiple and concurrent deadlines.Present oneself with a professionally appropriate demeanor and attire.Maintain a high energy level.Note: The information presented indicates the general nature and level of work expected of employees in this classification.
