Position Description
If you love high profile and challenging projects supporting the U.S. Navy, then Serco has a great opportunity for you!As the Experienced Configuration Management Specialist, you will provide site support for the new construction of U.S. Navy’s ships. You will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled and detail-oriented team located at our Arlington, VA location.In this role, you will:Oversee accurate development of monthly GFI impact statements and resolve issues identified by the GFI analyst.Oversee and participate in quarterly implementation directive audit of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Schedules A-E as well as GFI for the Turnkey, Combat Systems, and Hull, Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems.Attend regular participating acquisition and resource manager (PARM) reviews for potential configuration impact to the DDG 51 design.Oversee the C4I Turnkey Phased GFI Deliverable approach to ensure adherence to the DDG 51 Programs’ Turnkey Management Plan.Maintain both the DDG 51 Turnkey Management and GFI Plans in support of government customer.Oversee the tracking of baseline design budget (DBET) changes and engineering change proposals (ECPs) for DDG 51 multi-year procurements (MYPs).Review baseline requests for clarification, identification and assistance (RCIAs) and post baseline pre-initial change proposals (PICP) and initial change proposals (ICPs) for Schedules and GFI impact to accomplish proactive issue identification.Accomplish adhoc trainings, presentations, and government briefs combining knowledge from both the baseline and post baseline change processes. Coordinate conference room, distribution lists, etc.Attend weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings in support of customer, provide notes and recommendations if issues are identified.Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance.US Citizenship.A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
A High School Diploma/GED and 4 additional years of Configuration Management experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of Configuration Management experience or related similar experience.Experience with performing configuration management with Navy platforms.Experience in conducting research on specific topics to resolve problems for colleagues and government customers.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically in Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint in developing concise yet comprehensive briefs.Excellent written and oral communication skills in virtual and in-person environments.Ability to be a quick learner and carry out tasking with minimal guidance.10% travel required.If you are ready to take the next step of your career path, apply today!
