What You Will Spark at Amplify:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement and maintain our company’s IT & OT network infrastructure. This is an expansive greenfield manufacturing project that will require significant leadership, effort, and onsite presence. This role requires deep technical expertise and a hands-on approach to managing complex enterprise network environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our networks, while also mentoring junior engineers and leading network-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design & Implementation:

Design, configure, and deploy IT and OT network solutions that meet organizational needs, including DATACENTER, LAN, WAN, MANUFACTURING, VPN, P5G, and WIRELESS NETWORKS.

Network Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Security Management:

Implement and manage network security protocols and network segmentation, including firewalls, zero trust, DMZs, hybrid cloud, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs, to protect against internal and external threats.

Capacity Planning:

Conduct network capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure the network can handle current and future demands.

Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and changes.

Project Management:

Lead network-related projects, coordinating with other IT teams and departments to deliver on time and within budget.

Mentorship & Training:

Mentor and train junior network engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to develop their skills.

Vendor Management:

Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new networking technologies and solutions.

Incident Response:

Respond to network emergencies and outages, ensuring quick and effective resolution to minimize impact on operations.

Location:

This position is domiciled in Byhalia, MS.

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in network engineering.

Proven experience with designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale enterprise networks.

Proficiency in configuring and managing networking hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).

Experience with infrastructure and network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python).

Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.

Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.

Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent highly preferred.

Security certifications like CISSP or CEH an advantage.
