Senior Network Engineer
in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program.Key Role:Design, analyze, plan, modify, and maintain networks and network components supporting data, voice and/or audio communication activities.Prepares the analysis of short/long term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission, and signaling.Conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies as well as internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis.Evaluates new technology.Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.Provide information for hardware and software selection and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.Conducts testing of network systems.Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.We invest in the lives of our employees, both in and out of the workplace, by providing competitive pay and benefits packages. This position is offering a pay range of $100,000.00- $135,000.00 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Experience in lieu of degree accepted.Active Secret clearance required.Current Security + CE.Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Experience and knowledge of the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) System and the Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization Systems (PARCS) and their network architectures.
