BAE Systems is seeking a motivated, self-driven, Senior Software Engineer for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) and other evolving business pursuits.This role will be working directly with an experienced software development team, the Digital Transformation Office (DTO), in creating software inside an environment that aligns with the DoD DevSecOps reference architecture. We are a valued mission partner delivering daily excellence and innovative solutions to our government customers.This Senior Software Engineer position will support the DTO, responsible for supporting the development of next generation modeling and simulation software in support of the entire ICBM enterprise and an array of other software projects. This position supports information technology configuration and certification for spatial data systems, developing client-server data analytics platforms and providing project execution support to clients throughout all phases of planning, restoration and modernization efforts at current and future facilities across the enterprise.In this position, the software engineer will develop solutions with the guidance of senior level engineers and project managers to meet the needs of our stakeholders. Development of software solutions would include but not be limited to web applications, back end services, scripts, add-ons, modification of existing software solutions, and generation of new software solutions. This engineer will be responsible for full stack development from data solutions (Databases, data integration products) to front end GUI design using the latest UI/UX principles. The software development methodology will be Agile, with an emphasis on Scrum. This engineer will participate in daily standups, pair programming, code reviews, and proof of concept activities. This engineer will deploy products using a DevSecOps toolchain that emphasizes security first in a fully automated pipeline executing on every code commit. This engineer must be able to communicate effectively in person, via conference call, and with the latest in communication tools (Mattermost, Teams).Required Education, Experience, & SkillsBachelor of Science and 7 years of professional software development experience (5 years w/Master’s Degree)Agile software development in one or more; ReactJS, Python, C#Familiar with or experience in Cloud native and DevOps environmentsFamiliar with Agile software development processProficiency in developing software to transact with complex enterprise relational database platforms such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQLPreferred Education, Experience, & SkillsDevelopment of solutions for complex Business Intelligence ecosystems.Experience with secure IT systems and ATOs which comply with DoD standards and regulations for secure network operations (DoDI 8510.01, RMF, FedRamp, etc)CompTIA Sec certification or other DoD 8570 CertificationsActive DoD Secret Security ClearancePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
