BAE Systems is seeking a Traffic Analyst II role to join its organization.
Location/Schedule/Travel:
This will be considered a Hybrid role at our York, PA location. In office at least 3 days per week. This position will work on a 9/80 (B) schedule where you will have every other Friday off. Start time will usually begin around 8AM EST. This role will require up to 10% of travel. Transportation Support/Compliance:
Manage BAE Systems' 3PL by working closely with the 3PL account management and BAE Systems freight carrier network. Tend to calls and meetings outside of normal business hours to guarantee no pickup and/or delivery disruptions. Attend quarterly business reviews, virtual and/or in person. Identify, determine, and lead savings initiatives to reduce freight costs and increase shipping efficiency. Process carrier claims for lost and/or damaged material, obtain documentation, and work with carriers directly to resolve claims. Process carrier service failures and work with 3PL account management and carriers to identify root cause and implement corrective actions. Participate in carrier rate adjustment reviews. Participate in key performance indicators (KPI) discussions. Monitor freight carrier transit times and ensure they align to what is published. Monitor freight carrier tender acceptances and on time performance. Review BAE Systems 3PL monthly load report to validate loads were properly billed and if necessary, inform BAE Systems 3PL management of corrections. Review BAE Systems 3PL lost opportunity report and work directly with suppliers to address non-shipping compliance. Research, address, approve and or/deny accessorial charges that are requested by freight carriers. Maintain BAE Systems location matrix file. Manage carrier aged payables. Communicates and collaborates effectively with local leadership and key stakeholders. Leads others in resolving challenging transportation issues by applying critical thinking, sound judgement, and creative problem-solving techniques. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or equivalent education/experience Experience in developing and executing freight savings initiatives. Experience supporting and collaborating effectively with others including the 3PL account management team and suppliers. Experience managing and analyzing large quantities of data. Experience with shipping, transportation, defense, imports, and exports Experience with shipping hazmat and hazmat regulations. Knowledge of incoterms and import/export regulations. Experience in working with Transportation Management Systems and 3PLs. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Analytical Skills by using Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, or Tableau Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word)
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $60076 - $102130
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
