Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting communication and engagement within the customer base, sales teams and rep groups, managing Territory Development Report (TDP) updates by brand and channel, and overseeing rep commissions and contracts. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator with a strong understanding of the building products industry and a passion for ensuring great customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Support:
- Serve as the inside point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and providing timely information about products, pricing, and order status.
- Assist clients with product selection, technical specifications, and project requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.
Sales Support:
- Collaborate with sales leadership to enhance communication and engagement across sales teams and ISR rep groups.
- Assist in preparing sales proposals, presentations, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Track and manage customer accounts, providing updates on project progress and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Territory Development Report Management:
- Manage updates to the Territory Development Report (TDP) by brand and channel, ensuring data accuracy and relevance for strategic decision-making.
- Analyze TDP data to identify trends and opportunities for sales growth.
Rep Commissions and Contracts:
- Oversee the management of independent rep commissions and contracts, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Work closely with sales leadership to ensure that rep agreements align with company goals and performance metrics.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams to refine strategies and enhance product offerings.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering trust and loyalty.
- Conduct follow-up communications to ensure customer satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Training and Development:
- Participate in training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Share insights and best practices with team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Proven 3+ experience in sales support, customer service, or account management required. Preferred experience in the architectural metals, building products, or construction industry.
