Mesa seeks an Electrical Engineering Associate who will work with other members of the engineering team to deliver projects of varying complexity and size for our fossil and hydro power generation clients. Working in a team environment, daily tasks will include the design of additions and modifications to power generation related electrical systems including:

Working under the direction of Senior/Principal Engineers and Engineering Managers.Electrical Calculations load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, coordination, arc flash, and lighting analysis using various engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, Visual, etc. Low and medium voltage design (panel boards, transformers, switchgear, MCC).Relay protection for an electrical system. (differential, feeder, and motor protection).Basic instrumentation and controls interfacing with PLCs and DCS.Well organized and self-motivated to complete tasks within agreed schedulesCreative thinking and ability to judge between alternate solutions to provide the optimal solutionAvailable to work overtime as necessary to meet schedules and commitmentsSafety consciousness and strict adherence to company and client safety standardsEducation/Experience/Certification:

BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/universityMinimum of 2+ years of experienceEIT Certification is requiredKey Responsibilities:

Preparation and completion of discipline engineering designs and supporting documents such as design criteria, calculations, drawings, and specificationsAssist in the definition of project objectives, preparation of design estimates, and definition of project requirements and routine design approachesResponsible for scoping, estimating, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering projects, which may have unique or complex technical or project execution requirementsPerforms technical and coordination checking review of deliverables and other project documents and ensures deliverables comply with company procedures and applicable design requirementsBenefits:

Annual Salary Range:

$72,344-$93,717

The expected compensation is a range determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, and qualifications of the candidate, internal equity, work location, and hiring department's fiscal resources.
