Staff Software Engineer, Dojo Datacenter Control

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Dojo Datacenter Platform. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will design, develop, and deploy software that ensures the reliability, availability, and scalability of our datacenter operations. You will focus on building the control plane for our datacenter, including resource management, provisioning, and automation.
Responsibilities
Design and develop software components for our datacenter control plane, including: resource management and allocation; provisioning & automation of infrastructure components; monitoring and management of datacenter resources; integration with distributed storage systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of our software with our datacenter infrastructureDevelop and maintain code for infrastructure software, focusing on areas such as: scalability & performance optimization; availability, reliability, & fault tolerance; automation & orchestration of datacenter operationsWork closely with the Operations team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of infrastructure softwareParticipate in the testing and validation of infrastructure software to ensure it meets quality and reliability standardsCollaborate with other Engineers to identify and resolve technical issues, and to continuously improve the design and operation of our datacenter infrastructureRequirements
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on infrastructure software and datacenter operationsStrong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or BashExperience with Slurm resource management and job scheduling systemsExperience with distributed storage systems, including Ceph, Gluster, or other similar technologiesStrong understanding of system design principles, including scalability, availability, and reliabilityExperience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as GitExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutionsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamKnowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes preferredCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$152,000 - $318,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
