We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Cloud Networking platform. As a key member of our Network Infrastructure team, you will design, develop, and deploy software and hardware that ensures the reliability, availability, and scalability of our cloud operations. You will have a strong focus on Data Center network infrastructure, provisioning and will work closely with our Network Engineering team to ensure seamless integration of our software with our systems. Additionally, you will work on resource management and distributed storage systems to support our high-performance computing and data analytics workloads.The ideal candidate will have a passion for building world-class software and a track record of success creating scalable software systems. You will need strong software engineering skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and experience accepting and giving meaningful feedback on technical designs and pull requests.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the system and network design for our Cloud Networking infra, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practicesDevelop and implement control paths for relevant components, including network and infrastructure elementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy infrastructure software that meets the needs of our datacenter operationsDevelop and maintain code for infrastructure software, focusing on a variety of areas including: scheduling, scalability, configuration, storage, fault tolerance, storage management & monitoring, distributed systems, and network provisioning & automationDocument standards with written procedures, processes, diagrams, and other technical documentsWork closely with the operations team to ensure smooth deployment and operation of infrastructure softwareParticipate in the testing and validation of infrastructure software to ensure it meets quality and reliability standardsCollaborate with other Engineers to identify and resolve technical issues, and to continuously improve the design and operation of our datacenter infrastructureRequirements

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on infrastructure software and datacenter operationsDemonstrated experience implementing large-scale projects in Go, Java, C++, Rust, or similarIn-depth understanding of network protocols and technologies, including: TCP/IP & OSI model, DNS & DHCP, and BGPComfortable with all aspects of rigorous software development and maintenance (version control, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, etc.)Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular.js etc.)Strong understanding of system design principles, including scalability, availability, and reliabilityExceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutionsExcellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to lead technical initiatives from conception to productionCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$140,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
