Are you ready to help Torani deliver flavor to every corner of the world? We're looking for a dynamic Transportation Coordinator to join our team, someone who can creatively solve challenges and bring people together, all while ensuring seamless logistics.
As a key member of our transportation team, you'll play a crucial role in making sure our products are delivered on time, to the right place, and at the right cost. You may not be an expert in all areas of transportation just yet, but you're eager to build on your existing experience with both domestic and international freight. With your growing knowledge of logistics, top-notch communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy, you'll be instrumental in keeping our customers happy and our team informed of all critical transportation details. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with teams across sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, and accounting, becoming the go-to person for all things transportation.
You'll align your work with Torani's strategic goals, adapting swiftly to logistics challenges while maintaining a calm demeanor. Beyond supporting day-to-day operations, you'll also dive into short- and long-term projects that will help drive our business forward.
Success Factors (12-18 Months):Transportation & Logistics Champion:
You'll ensure that Torani products keep moving smoothly. With a meticulous eye for detail, you'll coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer needs, creating accurate Bills of Lading and scheduling shipments to hit delivery targets. Your strong relationships with carriers and vendors will be key to success. You'll also research and provide rate quotes to Sales and Customer Service teams, schedule RMAs, and keep customer service in the loop on all key details. Additionally, you'll support the invoicing process, ensuring that freight invoices are reviewed and coded correctly to avoid discrepancies and keep billing streamlined.Problem-Solving Pro : When order details change, you'll quickly update pickup times, shipment documentation, and notify the right stakeholders. For our high-volume customers, you'll manage logs, assign delivery dates, and track each shipment's progress. Whether coordinating domestic prepaid freight or supporting international shipments, you'll ensure that every detail-from communication with freight forwarders to documentation-is handled with precision. You'll also stay on top of evolving food safety audits and GFSI requirements, ensuring quality is always front and center.Data & Documentation Guru:
With all transportation documentation (Proof of Delivery, Bills of Lading, etc.) in order, you'll be the go-to data hub for domestic and international shipping. You'll keep trailer inspection forms organized, gather shipment information, update KPIs on time, and proactively highlight any irregularities. When issues like product damage arise, you'll file carrier claims, and you'll support accurate coding of freight invoices.Team Player & Fun Enthusiast : At Torani, we believe in enjoying the work we do. Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, WMS)Ability to manage multiple projects at onceAt least 1 year of experience working with freight carriers or in a warehouse environment
