Position Summary
Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking a Stormwater Project Engineer for our Denver office. The selected engineer will be technically proficient and provide coordination of project execution and control of stormwater stand alone and transportation related projects from initial startup through final design.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Drainage design including the design of storm sewers, culverts, water quality facilities, open channels, and bridge hydraulics.Coordinate efforts as part of a design team to produce complete and accurate design work.Work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Stormwater group.Responsible for project delivery on stormwater and related design projects.Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management designs standards.Design of erosion control and/or stormwater management plans.Development of specifications, technical report writing and engineering support of constructionServe as lead drainage technical liaison with client on project efforts.Requirements
Required Education and/or Experience
BS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources EngineeringRegistered Professional Engineer in Colorado or the ability to obtain within 6 months.Strong written and verbal communication skillsMinimum of 7 years of drainage design experienceExperience with some or all of the following: Open Roads Designer SUDA, Civ3D SSA, CivilStorm, SRH2D, HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS2D, HY-8Preferred Education and/or Experience
MS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources EngineeringExperience working with CDOTExperience working with local municipalitiesFamiliarity with GISProficiency in some or all of the following: ORD SUDA, Civ3D SSA, CivilStorm, SRH2D, HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS2D, HY-8

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $90,000 - $115,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
