Role description:

Under the direction of the Senior Stormwater Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will challenge you and provide growth in your career.

Role accountabilities:

Engineering design for numerous roadway drainage and design-build projects including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements across the southeast.Assist in all aspects of roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, post construction water quality structures design, and erosion and sedimentation control.Prepare construction plans and project displays.Prepare cost estimates, reports and technical memos.Utilize various design software including MicroStation, Inroads, GeoPak, Open Roads, AutoCAD Civil 3d, Microsoft Excel, GIS, HEC-RAS, HY8, FlowMaster, Pond Pack, StormCAD, SMS, SRH2D, and HEC-RAS 2D to assist with the design and preparation of construction plans.Coordinate with project managers, ecologist, and roadway engineers.Direct junior engineer's design activities.Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications

7+ years of drainage design post degree and project management experience.Working knowledge of GDOT standards and practicesBachelor's degree in engineeringGeorgia PEKey Skills/Attributes :

In depth understanding of Bridge Hydraulics Analysis.Knowledge of stormwater design including open channel conveyance and closed drainage systems.Knowledge of stormwater treatment using appropriate BMPs suitable for the linear nature of transportation projects (MS4 Water Quality).Use of various software platforms including Bentley's StormCAD, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster, and Pond Pack, HEC-RAS, HEC-MS, HY8, ICPR, SWMM, SMS, SRH2D, and HEC-RAS 2D.Possess good communication (written and verbal), teamwork skills and the flexibility to complete a wide range of tasks including field work.Exhibit the initiative and ability to tackle new projects and other challenges regularly.NCEES record a plus.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
