I want to make you aware of an exceptional opportunity to be the Operations Manager for this highly successful ESOP owned multi-service AG complex.REASONS WHY THIS IS A GREAT JOB FOR THE RIGHT PERSONESOP program paid out every year since inception in 1986Excellent reputation built over 76 years of businessFlat organization - reports to the GMGrow into the GM positionStrong financial performance - extremely low debtCompany making significant capital improvements - Improve facility/better serve customersWill have operational autonomy and accountabilityMulti-site/multi-function responsibilityHighly autonomous culture (identify the problem - then the solution)Benefits & Features:ESOP program fully vested in just 3 years (working 500 hours per year)Exceptional benefit packageCustomer diversityExceptional track record of providing their employee owners with great retirement performanceSummary:You will be the leader of teams in a feed milling & grain operations environment overseeing the operations of: productionwarehousingtransportationingredient purchasing customer service budgeting staffingThe role you will play: Supervise the daily operations of teams in production, receiving, shipping, quality, customer service and inventory accuracyLead customer service activities to strengthen relationships Grow our sales volume (tonnage) and improve profitabilityCoordinate all safety initiatives: training, inspections and accident investigationsMaintain adequate, cost-effective inventory and accurate POs of key inputs: ingredients, packaging and suppliesFacility coordinator of Safe Feed / Safe Food Audits Organize all maintenance and housekeepingManage employees including hiring, performance evaluations and coachingMotivate the employees to meet performance expectations Partner with senior leadership on annual budgeting, capital projects and large purchasesJob RequirementsBackground Profile:5 years of operational management/supervision in a feed milling environmentExperience leading multiple teams within varying production environments:warehousing/distribution feed manufacturing grain plantKnowledge of various supply chain elements: warehousing inventory management production customer service and transportationKnowledge of Safe Food/Safe Feed quality programs/protocolsSignificant track record of success in plant/personnel safetyStrong background in identifying and resolving maintenance issues with facility/equipmentSuccessful experience in managing and developing your staffProficient with Microsoft Office programs and other software as requiredMust have valid driver's license with appropriate vehicle insuranceCommunity:The company is located in a very small rural community in the norther part of the "thumb" of MichiganIt is within a commutable distance of larger communities with requisite amenitiesOR - if you like the rural life - this is the placeJust a half an hour from Lake HuronA good place to set your roots
