Description
SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking an Operations Manager for Systems and Manufacturing division. The Operations Manager will be responsible for all production, warehouse, and purchasing activities in the Systems and Manufacturing Division. They are responsible for scheduling, purchasing, shipping, receiving and inventory management. This also includes overseeing work quality, productivity and attendance of employees along with providing training and mentoring to all new employees. The position will work cross functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing engineering to ensure on-time delivery of products, that meet customer requirement, and profitability targets. The Operations Manager is responsible for developing a highly functional team that uses lean and continuous improvements to create a best-in-class organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General Management
Oversee and manage work of the production, warehouse, and purchasing teamsBuild and maintain employee training programsParticipate in development of product strategy, and product and business plansDevelop and implement appropriate record keeping processesHire, train, and evaluate personnel performanceMotivate and coach the team to achieve operational successPrepare updates and reports on team performance (Key Performance Indicators)Production Management
Create sequence of operations for builds and coordinate labor resources with design engineering, and manufacturing engineering to support production schedulesManage all inventory activities including parts receiving, parts distribution, parts location management, cycle counting, and all associated MRP transactions supporting these activitiesEstablish workflow and manufacturing policies to validate completion of work as designedDevelop budgets, labor capacity plans, manufacturing capabilities, and equipment recommendations for improvementDrive and support continuous improvement activities within distribution, shipping and receiving, and inventory controlDevelop continuous improvement initiatives that improve productionCollaborate with Project Management team to coordinate project initiatives and schedules with Production team. Provide training to Project Managers on system and production processesWork with Quality Department to develop root cause and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issuesSupply Chain Management
Lead efforts in supply chain diversification, risk mitigation and relationship managementInterface with cross functional teams to build production schedulesCollect and analyze data from ERP and internal tools to maintain visibility and predictability tools/dashboards to consistently present quality, pricing and inventory goals and progressRequirements
Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field preferred5-8 years' experience in manufacturing operations3-5 years' experience as a supervisor or leadership capacityExcellent project management skillsExperience bidding, negotiating and controlling supply chain costsTrack record of successfully training employees in production, and safetyWorking knowledge of OSHA and radiological controlsExperience with engineer-to-order production processAbility to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a groupLifting, rigging, and fall protection experience preferredStrong ERP, MS office, data analysis skills
