The Senior Director of Finance is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Executive Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. They will oversee all financial functions including transactional accounting, budgeting, and planning, proposal development, insurance, tax reporting, and treasury/cash management.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, cost accounting, payroll, billings, etc.Oversee the preparation of the companys financial reports and ensure they comply with Government contracting requirements.Manage the companys budgeting process and monitor budget performance, to include submission of Allowable Forward Pricing and Billing Rates to the US Government.Ensure the organizations financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.Analyze the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future.Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.Ensure compliance with the US Governments financial regulations and that all Government contract financial reporting is completed accurately and on time, to include the annual Incurred Cost Submission.Work with Government auditors to ensure proper compliance with contract requirements.Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting to the Company.Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX), GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
