Overview:

Manages all accounting and casino financial operations and activities.Produces financial schedules and analysis of revenues, expenses, and capital expenditures.Develops and maintains labor control activities; ensures accurate processing of payroll and filing compliance of all applicable taxes and reports in accordance with federal, state and local law.Responsibilities:

Ensures the quality of management operations in all areas of the Finance Department.Plans, forecasts, budgets, and projects the future financial performance of the casinos and assess the impact on the governmental operations as well as develop, maintain and monitor the casinos cash flow needs. Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.Ensures proper internal controls and procedures are established, effective and followed, and ensures the safeguarding of the companys assets. Ensures proper training is provided to comply with all internal control procedures established.Coordinates and directs the annual budget process for the casinos. Performs a monthly budget-to-actual analysis, explaining material budget variances, and recommending any applicable corrective actions to the General Manager.Establishes and supervises the effectiveness and adherence of all departmental budgets, projections and proformas, after complete consultation with the General Manager, and Department Heads. Establishes goals and objectives.Maintains a working knowledge of GAAP standards and ensures the timely completion of financial reports and statements, in accordance with same.Design, implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of the casinos financial information as well as the safekeeping of their assets. As well as ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial reporting.Develops and manages internal controls for finance, cage operation and audit.Manages and is accountable for cash disbursement and controls for the Cage operations.Prepares and submits all reports required by all authoritative agencies.Works closely with the General Manager of the casino to ensure accurate, up-to-date and timely financial information is readily available to ensure efficient flow of operations.Prepares, reviews, and files all gaming tax returns and ensures timely payments. Responsible for representing the organization when the returns are audited.Monitors and maintains all activities, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout.Maintains good working relationships with the Gaming Commission, the Federal and State Tax Commissions.Responsible for all accounting entries and responsible for the preparation of all daily, weekly, and monthly un-audited reports.Supervises all check cashing procedures and collection of bad checks.Reviews daily financial reports and departmental reports, addressing potential conflicts and/or misinformation.Strategic planning, negotiation and communication with internal / external management.Establishes and implements production standards and goals, as well as departmental policies and procedures, which will enable the Finance Department to function more effectively and efficiently.Responsible for leadership and management and the efficient operations of purchasing and inventory control. Supervises the preparation of all inventories-both perishable and non-perishable goodsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in professional societies; conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.Creates, develops and implements an effective strategy of financial organization for the property, working with the General Manager, to determine objectives for future growth and expansion.Responsible for maintaining department compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, government regulations, and internal controls.Attends meetings with Executive staff, giving status reports on the Finance Department as a whole.Coordination and integration of all financial reporting, processing and accounting systems.Performs other duties as required.Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 to 7 years of financial experience and management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of a gaming organization.A bachelors degree in accounting or related field with an advanced degree preferred. Or equivalent.Experience in gaming resort and hospitality operations with a combined executive experience in the following industries: accounting, finance, gaming, and resort/hospitality.Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable.Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment screen.Gaming industry experience is strongly preferred.

Posted Salary Range:USD $90,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
