Join us.What You'll Do:We are seeking a Director of Planning. The Director of Planning will set the strategic and execution processes to service the NAM market, manage healthy inventory levels and balance supply chain costs. Measures of success will include on-time in full, inventory within target, delivering the shipping forecast, demand/supply balanced withing network capacities and strong inbound accuracy + speed. This individual lead a planning team comprise of Demand Planning and Planning Operations. Linking in the (end to end) supply chain and collaborating with the brand, commercial, merchandising teams and customer service in market will be a critical aspect of this role. Heighten command of the market and global supply chain functions will enable delivering the right product, to the right place at the right time. Flying high and seeing the big picture: link all processes from order entry to delivery and driving process improvements to optimize sales productivity.Details in how the work will get done:Lead Planning managers and team members through all responsible activities and leadership development. Foster healthy team atmosphere, where accountability, growth, strategic thinking, and collaboration drive our actions.Drive the development of best in class planning capabilities from demand plan creation, through global supply/buying processes and concluding with on-time fulfillment of goods to B2B and DTC customers.Analyze and challenge market forecast to provide a compromise between ambitions and stock risks. Partner heavily with Finance to establish market process that smoothly intersects with global processes.Direct demand plan to open to buy and check / balances. Provide extra oversight on complex categories, develop oversight and processes to enable demand planning success.Lead the creation manage productivity targets and inventory objectives at the category level. Develop tools, models, and monthly collaboration sessions to drive business alignment and appropriate actions.Drive forecasting consensus sessions, bringing inputs + recommended forecast position for review. Facilitate healthy collab across commercial, sales, marketing, finance. Lead decision taking and consensus on a common demand plan + brand strategy.Develop and lead sales order deadline booking processes and checkpoints.Be key liaison and market representative with global demand and supply planning to ensure timing buys + voice into blind buys. Collaborate on capacity constraints and mitigations available, escalate as needed. Represent the cadence of buys in the market and organize the market team to make timely buy decisions.Inbound oversight and partnership with Amer Group transportation: reduce variability and smooth flow of goods into the market.Develop Direct Ship capabilities for all categories and act as functional champion for capabilities. Elevate processes and results.Lead and contribute to projects to drive continuous improvement and create leverage in the organization.
