We are looking for the best engineering talent available to develop the latest technology, concepts, prototypes, and products from around the world. At our location in Atlanta, GA we design, engineer, prototype, and manufacture devices for a wide array of industries ranging from consumer products to medical devices. We serve all our clients from individual entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies with the same efficiency and agility we have been providing since our own startup days in 2015. The ideal candidate will have worked in multiple industries as an engineer and have a strong breadth of knowledge in hardware systems development to breadboarding through custom PCB development.
As a part of the core Kickr engineering team, Electrical Engineers are responsible for designing and testing real, working electronics for a variety of different applications including IoT, wireless communication, robotics, industrial and much more. You will manage your electrical projects from concept through manufacturing, participate in brainstorms, collaborate with team members, and help coordinate on time deliveries. In some cases you will work directly with clients to develop a shared understanding of expectations, scope, and budget to ensure we can deliver exactly what they are looking for. This position requires both technical and customer-facing communication skills.
Responsibilities:
System architecture and designSchematic design and component selectionPCB Design and layoutCircuit board prototyping, assembly and testingFirmware/Software experience is a plusSchedule and maintain engineering support for projects.Work with fellow engineers and PM's to develop efficient applicable solutions to problemsWork with team and/or customers in planning and troubleshooting issues.Continually optimizing, developing and improving the Electrical engineering process at Kickr Design.Communicate and work closely with other groups within Kickr including project management, mechanical engineering, industrial design, and sales.Collaborate effectively with customers to help lead them through the new product development processRequirements
Qualities and Skills:
Electrical aptitude and knowledge of best practices and techniquesIn depth knowledge and experience with Electrical product design including PCB design, analog electronics, digital electronics, RF and electronics manufacturingExcellent communication skills developed through experience working directly with clients and engineering teamsFlexibility toward project and team management approach tailored to best fit the particular client or team memberAbility to quickly assess a situation and take appropriate actionPreferred Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in electrical design and new product developmentEager to adapt and continually improveAltium experiencePrioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentMedical and/or industrial automation experience are a plusBachelor's Degree requiredBenefits
