Position Overview:

We are looking for a full-time, Prelitigation Paralegal (aka Prelitigation Case Manager) r to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage all

pre-litigation

case manager duties and handle a NY personal injury caseload from intake until litigation.

Pre-litigation Paralegal

for

Personal Injury Cases - NYCaseload of 80-100 personal injury cases from intake until the case goes to litigation30 days calls with clients regarding medical care, providers, notating and updating about their current treatment status - Provide excellent customer serviceCapable of independently reviewing cases, conducting investigations to gather necessary information for cases where initial claims are unsuccessful, and establishing No-Fault and Bodily Injury claims as required.Ability to open claims with insurance companiesKnowledge of No-Fault applications, filing of claims/procedures, deadlinesKnowledge of the processing of lost wage claimsKnowledge of retrieving police reportsKnowledge of NY personal injury thresholdKnowledge of Motor Vehicle Indemnification Corp proceduresAbility to set up property damage claimsAbility to obtain Property DeedsConduct Corporate Business search about premises liability claimsKnowledge of OPRA & FOIL requestsKnowledge of Personal Injury Statutes of Limitations - NYAbility to accurately enter information in the Litify insurance tabs, & provider tabs about medical facilities and insurance info.Obtaining/documenting outstanding liens: medical liens, worker's compensation liens, etc.Update and maintain client information in the Litify databaseStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlinesQualifications:

Previous experience working on NY Personal Injury cases doing prelitigation workStrong Multitasking and time-management skillsAble to work in a fast-paced environmentPrevious experience using a CMS (Case Management System) ie. Litify, Needles/NEOS, CLIO, MyCase, etc.Enjoys prelitigation tasks which requires phone communication andExcellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary is based upon previous years of Personal Injury Prelitigation experience.

Compensation Range:

$65,000-$70,000 USD
