Are you an
experienced Prelitigation Paralegal
looking for a dynamic and supportive work environment? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team full-time. In this role, you will manage all pre-litigation case manager duties and handle trucking accident cases from intake through to litigation. You will work closely with an Attorney specializing in Trucking Accident cases and receive comprehensive training from a Senior Paralegal. If you are detail-oriented and thrive in a collaborative setting, we would love to hear from you! We are willing to train experienced Personal Injury Prelitigation Paralegals who want to broaden their expertise.
Key Responsibilities:Ability to manage all
Pre-litigation Paralegal
duties with the guidance of our Attorney who handles our Trucking Accident cases.Caseload of 100 personal injury cases from intake until the case goes to litigation (Until the filing of the Complaint)30 days calls with clients regarding medical care, providers, notating and updating about their current treatment status - Provide excellent customer serviceCapable of independently reviewing cases, conducting investigations to gather necessary information for cases where initial claims are unsuccessful, and establishing No-Fault and Bodily Injury claims as required.Ability to open claims with insurance companiesRequest the black-box informationKnowledge of No-Fault applications, filing of claims/procedures, deadlinesKnowledge of the processing of lost wage claimsKnowledge of retrieving police reportsKnowledge of personal injury threshold - Verbal, Zero, CommercialKnowledge of Motor Vehicle Indemnification Corp proceduresAbility to set up property damage claimsAbility to obtain Property DeedsConduct Corporate Business search about premises liability claimsKnowledge of OPRA & FOIL requestsKnowledge of Personal Injury Statutes of Limitations - NJ, NY, PAAbility to accurately enter information in the Litify insurance tabs, & provider tabs about medical facilities and trucking (tractor trailer) insurance info.Obtaining/documenting outstanding liens: medical liens, worker's compensation liens, etc.Update and maintain client information in the Litify databaseStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlinesQualifications:
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Prior experience as a Prelitigation Paralegal or Prelitigation Case Manager - with Personal Injury or Trucking Accident caseload experience.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines.Paralegal Certification not required, past Paralegal/Case Manager work experience equivalenceBilingual proficiency is a plus.
Salary is based on how many years of prelitigation paralegal (case management) experience a candidate has.
Compensation Range:
$70,000-$85,000 USD
