Back Office Operations Associate
The Chicago Operations team is responsible for processing of all North & South American Futures exchanges as well as clearing trades for US domiciled clients on most major foreign exchanges. The position to be filled is for Clearing Operations, which are responsible for the following tasks:
Primary Job Responsibilities• As a primary responsibility will manage, review / communications for of all US Futures Exchange Option Expiry & Delivery processing requirements, including review of in / out of the money positions, Exercise / Assignment / Abandonment Notifications.• Manage all End of Day processes between Client systems, third party vendors, regulatory reporting agencies, and exchanges - including but not limited to statement generation, open position reporting, and expiry & delivery notifications.• Monitor all incoming Foreign Market trades for US domiciled clients to ensure accurate position reporting• Research and resolve issues and inquires regarding exchange or bank regulatory rules, requirements, functionality, etc.• Liaise with clients, client service, trade support, trading desks, balancers, and outside firms in a timely manner to efficiently process top day trading to resolve any outstanding issues impacting position reporting for LTD & FND (Last Trade Date & First Notice Day)• Work with Compliance on internal department audits as well as provide documentation in relation to any enquiry requested by Regulatory, Financial, or Exchange personnel• Review Daily Checklist to ensure all daily tasks & requirements have been successfully completed within the designated timeline• Ad hoc reports / requests to be supported as needed
Ideal candidates for the position should have the following:
Application Knowledge• Thorough knowledge of CME Group & ICE-US functional applications & systems; including regulations, clearing, expiration, & delivery reporting processes• Familiarity with MGE, BM&F, EUREX, ME, & other foreign markets is a positive.• Good working knowledge and experience with GMI / FIS and Clearvision applications• Should also be able to investigate process automation & improvements, while being able to document work-flows and procedural changes & amendments as necessary, both from exchange requirements or automation improvements.
Required Skills• Ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of futures industry operations experience• Must be detailed-oriented, able to work under strict deadlines• Proactive in solving problems and conducting root cause analysis• Strong verbal & written communication & management skills• Expert MS Office Suite knowledge (Word, Excel, Access, Visio)• Strong technological abilities and the capacity to quickly learn proprietary software
Pay Rate: 30.00-36.00/hr. W2- Negotiable based on experience.
