East Tennessee Children's Hospital
is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic Pediatric Sleep Medicine team as we continue to grow our comprehensive program.
The ideal candidate will:
Provide evaluation and ongoing care for children with simple and complex health issues related to sleep and sleep disorders.Provide direct patient care to patients to include the following: evaluation, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of sleep and sleep disorders. The APP will be assigned the full range of cases including the most difficult and is responsible for determining when to seek advice and guidance from physiciansEssential functions include:
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs with the main objective of restoring or improving function and maximizing quality of life.Record physical findings, and formulate plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition. Coordinates care and acts as a patient advocate for pediatric patients with various sleep disorders such as insomnia, behavioral insomnia, sleep deprivation, parasomnias, sleep disordered breathing and hypersomnia.Recommend treatments for various sleep disorders including prescription medication, related therapeutic procedures and durable medical equipment.Report safety issues and participate in process improvements. Perform other duties in adherence to regulatory guidelines.Prepare medical records, reports, forms, and documents and completes quality assessment reviews as required.This position includes a highly competitive salary and robust benefit package, along with productivity and quality-based incentives. The ideal candidate should have excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills, hold a master's degree with, preferably, 1- 3 years previous experience in pediatrics and able to attain licensure in the State of Tennessee as a NP, FNP or PA-C.
