In this position you will have a critical role both delivering direct services and as a clinical consultant to the multi-disciplinary team.Essential Duties:Provide group, individual, and family therapy to clients as required.Conduct diagnostic assessments including initial intakes and on-going assessments.Work with service recipients to create person-centered recovery plans.Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case management staff.Complete all agency records utilizing a collaborative documentation approach.Participate in crisis response services providing risk assessment, crisis intervention, stabilization and counseling, and assessment for hospitalization.Serve as a client advocate with appropriate and timely referrals to other agencies, provide consultation and follow-up communication with law enforcement agencies, community agencies, schools, medical facilities, and inpatient units.Actively participate in team communication processes that ensure appropriate services and outcomes.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU...Master's Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, family therapy or a related clinical field.Licensed at the independent practice level as defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW) preferred. LCSW and LMHC will also be considered.Minimum of two years of clinical work experience.Credentialed or eligible to be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through the Department of BHDDH within 2 months of employment.Has knowledge base and can access all resources for hospitalization and crisis stabilization/hospital diversion.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and genuine outlook about change with a belief that people can achieve positive outcomes.This position may require a flexible schedule.APPLY NOWSubmitting your application is a great way to learn more about Newport Mental Health.
