Staff Accountant
to join their team!Salary/Hourly Rate:$65k - $85k plus BonusPosition Overview:The Staff Accountant will support accounting functions for commercial real estate properties. The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant role will have 2+ years in commercial property accounting.Responsibilities of the Commercial Property Accountant:
Maintain GAAP accrual general ledgers.
Prepare and process monthly journal entries.
Produce monthly financials.
Review income, expense, and in-progress capital jobs.
Review new monthly leasing activity.
Review lease documents and prepare summaries of material leasing activity.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain quarterly workpapers.
Prepare quarterly and annual operating escalation reconciliations.
Review tenant leases to ensure accurate CAM billings.
Qualifications for the Commercial Property Accountant:
Working experience including internships in commercial real estate accounting or public accounting with real estate clients.
Basic understanding of general ledger activity, and preference with Yardi application.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Must be a team-oriented and a problem-solver.
Strong communication skills.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
CPA is a plus.
