Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant provided administartive support to the Medical Director, physicians and advanced practitioners and practice.General office duties, including but not limited, to copying, filing, faxing, check requests, mailings, typing of correspondence, initiating and responding to emails, conference call scheduling, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, creating and maintaining files.Utilize Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to create and maintain correspondence, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.Maintenance and management of all office equipment to include phone, voicemail and computer systems.Orders, maintains and ensures availability of supplies and materials for the department within the budgetary parameters.Maintains, orders and replaces pagers for physicians and advanced practitioners.Faxes discharge summaries to primary care physicians and follow-up specialists.Contacts State Department of Health regarding newborn screens, provides updates to clinicians with results to update patient records.Arrange and coordinate travel arrangements as needed.Prepare check requests & expense reports.Special projects as needed.May organize and track credentialing needs for physicians and advanced practitioners.Schedules meetings and maintains calendars for the physicians and advanced practitioners as needed.Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and Company policy.Present a positive, professional appearance and convey a professional demeanor in the performance of assigned duties.Responsible for following all facility, organization and department precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.Complete compliance requirements as needed.Takes consults from hospital and relays them to physician immediate need.Assists with making appointments and rescheduling patients when needed.Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred.Experience Years: 1 to 3 years related experience.Experience Industry: HealthcareEquivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.Benefits and Compensation
