Nationally recognized litigation law firm seeks an associate attorney to join their recognized team concentrating on complex civil matters. The firm's expertise is diverse but focused in the areas of toxic tort, complex product liability, general liability, and related commercial litigation. Associates work closely with senior attorneys and clients on challenging work in an entrepreneurial and collegial environment.
Responsibilities:Handle local and national accounts throughout the state of CaliforniaIndependently manage a litigation caseloadConduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trialPrepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadingsPrepare court filings and e-filingTrial preparation and supportQualifications and Skills:
2+ years of experience in any of the following practice areas: complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liabilityJuris Doctor from an accredited law schoolMust be admitted to practice in the state of CaliforniaExperience with motion practice and depositionsExperience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositionsWorks well both independently and in a team-settingSuperior research, writing, and written and verbal communication skillsAbility to multi-task and analyze complex mattersBenefits:
