The ALA1 will be responsible for analyzing a wide variety of local government credits using quantitative methods and qualitative judgment. He or she will be responsible for accumulating in-depth knowledge of economic trends and debt practices within the local government sector, as well as collaborating with teammates and other PFG associates. The ALA1 will publish thought-leading research on key credit trends affecting local governments and will present fundamental credit analysis on a regular basis to rating committees. The ALA1 will regularly interact with market participants, including issuers, investors, and intermediaries.Qualifications:Undergraduate degreeMinimum of 3 years relevant experience in credit analysis, financial markets, state or local governments, higher education, housing finance or healthcare financeFundamental credit skills including both qualitative and quantitative aptitude.Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and research skillsStrong time management skills, ability to manage multiple priority tasks simultaneously, and ability to consistently meet deadlines.Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointEvidence of Moody's Culture of Excellence attributes: integrity, collaboration, passion, respect, and responsivenessPreferred QualificationsMPP, MPA, MBA or similar degreeBackground in municipal finance, public sector accounting, economics and statisticsFor US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$110,900]] - [[$160,850]], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
