Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler
Job Description
Candidates will be required to fine pitch solder and assemble components onto PCBs of Wildlife tracker tags. They will be utilizing small hand drills, tweezers, and cutters to perform assembling duties. Complete work orders by following written procedures, drawings, verbal instructions, and sample assemblies.
Responsibilities
Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device.
Join or secure parts in place by using solder, crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, cements, and press fits.
Connect component lead wires to printed circuit boards or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in molds.
Execute intermediate assembly tasks including potting, encapsulating, impregnating, epoxy bonding, curing, coating, stamping, etching, sanding, and cleaning of assemblies.
Conduct online go-no-go testing and inspection of parts to ensure assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Clean molds, and cast instruments, cups and spacers for re-use or testing.
Clean subassemblies (may involve the use of isopropyl alcohol, acetone, or Flux-Off).
Provide feedback to Engineering department to improve quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Participate in company safety plan.
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.

Proficiency with basic math (add, subtract, multiply)

Spot Welding
TIG Welding
Hot air rework

Work Environment
Employees will be working in a small manufacturing environment, typically sitting at a desk to perform assemblies. The work is performed in a manufacturing-laboratory environment with chemical exposure typical to a manufacturing casting room. Noise levels are moderate, but occasionally loud due to moving mechanical parts. The role requires good manual dexterity and the ability to stand or sit for long periods. Occasionally, employees may need to lift materials up to 30 pounds.
