Flexibility will be needed, at times.

As the Nursing Supervisor, there will be a need for this position to support daily RN duties, in the event of staffing shortages. For example, if a RN were to call-out sick, the Nursing Supervisor would step-in to support daily RN operations and direct client care.

This responsibility would also extend to weekends.Compensation Range (Salary):

$96,824 - $135,55/year

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIREMENTS)

Required : Must possess a valid RN license (Oregon)Required : A minimum of two (2) years working experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)Required : Leadership experience, preferably in a medical detox, hospital, ED, SNF, PES, inpatient psych, or acute care settingRequired : Must be available during some evenings and weekends.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in nursing or nursing education.CARN or CARN-AP, or post-graduate training in public health, teaching, administration, psychiatric nursing.

SUMMARY:

The Nurse Supervisor reports directly to Director of Operations and assists in providing direct oversight of patient care in a trauma-informed and person-centered setting, including medication administration, assessment, wound care, triage patient complaints and referrals. The Nurse Supervisor also orders medication, oversees scheduled medication inventory, supports adherence to clinical policies and procedures, provides medical in-service training and ensures quality and patient safety. The Nurse Supervisor maintains a nurse core staffing level and resolves staffing discrepancies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical Activity and Leadership:Assist in the recruiting and hiring of 16th & Burn Nurses.Train, supervise and evaluate the performance of the 16th & Burn nursing staff. This involves ongoing coaching and development of staff as well as addressing performance issues and completing annual performance evaluations.Manage schedule of nursing staff and provide support with high acuity.Ensure clinical privileging requirements are met for all direct reports pursuant to CCC's Privileging Policy.Coordinate and assist with Student Nurse Preceptorship.Supervise, implement and review patient care policies and procedures.Review and monitor the clinical practice of nursing personnel in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Medical Director.Manage medication and supplies of the medical unit, including purchasing, inventory and provide observed self-administration.Participate in maintaining a quality assurance system, including regular review of incidents, grievances, and documentation.Ensure cross-communication and care coordination for patient care and discharge planning.Provide direct care and or delegate care of patients as indicated.Utilize Pyxis if used in this setting and maintain electronic patient list.Observe and record pertinent information with regard to the care and condition of patients.Formulate individualized nursing care plans and participate in patient care conferences.Serve as medical liaison to other treatment programs, hospitals, and governmental agencies.Be available for leadership on call duties for nights and weekends; on rotation..Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners' and outside providers' patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.Attend all mandatory CCC trainings in a timely manner.Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Thorough knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice, with ability to plan, direct and instruct in these areas, including managing chronic medical conditions and acute care needs.Knowledge of substance use treatment, medical and social withdrawal management and stabilization methods and interventions.Knowledge and experience with mental health conditions and the ability to manage and deescalate patients presenting with co-occurring disorders.Knowledge of trauma-informed and patient centered practice and ability to guide staff in adhering to those principles.Ability to develop and write medical policies and procedures in a professional manner.Skills in the supervision of employees, including motivation techniques, progressive discipline, problem solving, and performance evaluation.Skills in program planning, including the development of goals, objectives, timelines, scheduling and evaluation.Skills in budget planning and the monitoring of expenditures.Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform assigned tasks.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with clients, co-workers and the public at largeAbility to work courteously with the general public, clients and co-workers.Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.Ability to learn and apply training instruction.Ability to consider impacts of oppression, structural racism, and individual bias on client outcomes.Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, political affiliations, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles and sexual orientations, and treat all individuals with respect and dignity.
