Production Expediter (Entry-Level) - 1st Shift

Summary:
The Production Expediter is responsible for maintaining schedules for material requirements and to ensure availability for the manufacture of industrial and commercial products to support production control.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Compiles records concerning quantity, cost, and type of material received, shipped, in stock or inventory, and/or in production.Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.Assists in determining possible and actual shortages may initiate action to correct these deficiencies.Uses knowledge of production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and appropriate remedial action.Estimates and logs production rate and time expenditures and may be required to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.Tracks inventory levels and monitors inventory in WIP, On-Hold, MRB & In-Inspection locations.Works with material planning toensure materials are ordered in time to support scheduling & operations.Issues scrapped and obsolete material through MRP/ERP systems.Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalentAt least 2 years additional education and/or related experienceBasic MathIntermediate computer knowledgeUtilizes ERP & Electronic Work Instruction system to track parts through production to meet customer demand and set priorities for Work In Process (WIP)Position requires 80% of time on shop floor coordinating and controlling product flow and 20% of time updating systems to ensure accurate records in systemsThis position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds and working overheadUS Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with inventory and dispatch work order release systems such as NetSuite, Epicor, and SoluminaUse of office automation tools such as Microsoft Excel
