L.J Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a
Production Planner
with our clients based in West Nyack, NY. This role involves creating and maintaining production schedules, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that materials and resources are available when needed. The Production Planner works closely with various departments, including procurement, production, and logistics, to align production goals with company objectives and reports to the Planning Manager. Work will be done in a cosmetic manufacturing plant.
Planning:
Feasibility, release and execute work orders (bulks, bases, WIPs, and finished goods)Communicate plans to production, customer service and managementMaintain dates, quantities, and statuses in SAPReview of MRP run (Alert Monitor)Manage orders to minimize inventory obsolescenceDaily maintenance of assigned Planning BoardsFollow Operating Work Instructions for Planning and as per the Planning ManagerScheduling:
Production Plan to be finalized and reflected on the MPSA for DDS reviewReview Monthly RCCP for assigned work centers to ensure that Supply Chain can support all program requirementsMonitors the customer service commitments and assign priorities based on customer needs and production availabilityPublish and perform root cause analyses on key metrics including Customer Service Level, Actual vs. Scheduled Productions and Master Schedule StabilityInteract frequently with manufacturing personnel to balance demand and customer service commitmentsIdentify MPSA outages and reflect weekly, then monthly during the Supply Chain reviewsParticipate in meetings and keep up to date on issues related to Manufacturing, Planning, New Product introductions, Line Fill Rates, Metrics, and other related Supply Chain issuesJob Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related field3-5 years manufacturing shop floor planning experienceERP System experience (SAP preferred)Basic knowledge of supply chain processesMS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Verbal and written communication skillsInterpersonal and customer service skillsOrganizational skills and attention to detailTime management with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
