Financial Reporting Accountant II
, based in our
St. Louis, MO
office. This role is responsible for month-end closing processes, tracking projects, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling assigned GL accounts, performing allocations, reporting financial results to Industries and providing variance explanations, supporting ad hoc analysis requests. You will also be responsible for coordinating the annual budget process and quarterly forecasting

Wha
t you will be doing:
Complete monthly accounting close processes
Prepare and post journal entries
Investigate assigned monthly variances between actual and budgeted expenses
Provide explanation and prepare correcting journal entry if necessary
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of monthly income statements and ancillary reports in nVision
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and clear variances
Prepare monthly statistical information
Coordinate budget preparation processes
Maintain budget model in Adaptive Planning and Office Connect
Provide budget assistance to operations department managers
Prepare quarterly forecasts
Prepare/maintain ad hoc and administrative reports/documents
Financial system and training documentation
Support ad hoc requests from operations and finance departments
Develop/update nVision reports
Miscellaneous
Prepare sales/use tax returns
Support accounts payable GL coding requests
Perform special projects as assigned
Potential exists for this position to have a role in allocation, capital expenditure, fixed asset, lease, prepaid, payroll and/or AFE project accounting
Qualifications:Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred
4-5 years of experience required
Prior general ledger experience
CPA or CMA preferred
Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter and dependable
Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
