Summary of PositionThe Front-End Web Developer will play an integral role in supporting the Undergraduate Admissions Office in their efforts to recruit and enroll prospective students by providing technical expertise and experience in the CRM application, Slate Technolutions. This individual will support the design and creation of web pages and components, CRM forms, admissions portals and html emails to ensure a seamless user experience across multiple platforms including the Slate Technolutions, admissions website and other digital communications.

Other minimum qualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML/CSS and JavaScriptProficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elementsFamiliarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less or StylusWorking knowledge of SEO principles and best practicesKnowledge and experience administering a Slate environmentExperience working in the areas of communications and/or marketing in higher education or related fieldWorking knowledge of Drupal or similar content management systemsExperience using scripting languages to automate recurring manual processesStrong verbal and written communication skillsEffective team-player who can also work independentlyMotivated self-starter with the ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies

Design, code, test and implement custom admissions portals in Slate for prospective students and counselorsBuild web applications in Slate using web development best practicesTransform app designs into front-end code with HTML/CSS and JavaScriptCreate functional prototypes of website components and core website templates and deploy for testing and implementation in Slate and across the admissions websitesWrite high-quality, scalable and reusable code that meet industry and university standards so that they can be easily referenced by other campus developersCreate functional prototypes of website components and core website templates and deploy for testing and implementation in Slate and across the Admissions websitesProvide training and develop documentation for end-users to referenceDevise and implement solutions to improve functionality and design of Slate portals and Admissions websites based on user feedbackDuty/ResponsibilityE-mail Marketing Campaign Development and Analytic Tracking
