Job Title: Custodian iSTEM
Part-time up to 29 hours per week - AnticipatedSalary Range- $15.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experienceReports To/Evaluated By: Maintenance Supervisor
Summary: The custodian will be responsible for the cleaning of the classrooms and common areas.Benefits offered: Free telehealth option; robust Wellbeing program; an Employee Assistance Program; board paid life insurance with optional buy-up for yourself and dependents and Accidental Death and Dismemberment options. Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by the Administration.
Floor maintenance like sweeping and mopping
Dusting and disinfecting all surfaces like window sills, locker doors and tops, desk and table tops
Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms
Emptying trash
Ability to operate cleaning equipment
Reports to items in need of repair to supervisor
Secure building for night; all windows and doors closed and locked, building alarm set
Punctual and strong work ethics and attendance
Summer work as neededCompetencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner;
Works independently and follows written and verbal instructions accurately. .
Responds promptly to needs; Meets commitments.
Maintains confidentiality; Works with integrity and ethically.
Writes clearly and informatively.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines.Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
Criminal Records Check: Must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 - Criminal Records Check.Drug Testing: Must pass a drug screen at time of hire and comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
