Our challenge
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst specializing in Merchant Services within the banking industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and enhancing our merchant service offerings, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and optimizing payment processing solutions for our clients. Candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, IT, and product development, to deliver innovative merchant services that meet client needs.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh, PA and Dallas, TX is $90k - $100k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities
:Analyze current merchant service offerings, including payment processing, POS solutions, and e-commerce platforms, to identify opportunities for enhancement.Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories related to merchant services in banking.Collaborate with product teams to design and implement new features and enhancements for merchant services.Serve as a liaison between banking clients, internal stakeholders, and third-party vendors to gather feedback and understand merchant needs.Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into actionable insights.Provide regular updates and presentations to senior management regarding merchant service initiatives and performance metrics.Analyze transaction data, merchant performance metrics, and client feedback to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within merchant services.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to merchant services and payment processing.Ensure data accuracy and integrity across merchant service platforms and reporting tools.Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure merchant services adhere to banking regulations and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS).Identify potential risks in merchant transactions and propose solutions to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud prevention measures.Stay informed about changes in banking regulations, payment processing requirements, and industry best practices.Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization within merchant service operations.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and solutions that enhance merchant experiences and operational efficiency.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in banking merchant services.Requirements:
You are:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services, with a focus on Merchant Services or payment processing.Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements, and payment processing systems.Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools) and reporting methodologies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.We can offer you:
