Director of Training

Position Function:
The Director of Training leads the strategic development, design, and implementation of training programs that align with ACH's mission and objectives, enhancing the skills and knowledge of both internal staff and external stakeholders.
Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelors in a relevant field required.
Experience : A minimum of five years of experience training program design and implementation is required. Five years of working knowledge with a Learning Management System, including creating and presenting data metrics and reports. Two years in of supervisory experience is required. Training experience in a social services setting preferred. Experience with facilitating and leading trainings for adult learners is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Extensive computer use, along with administrative and clerical duties in a collaborative office environment. Requires attendance at meetings and occasional local travel to satellite offices. Physical tasks such as lifting, sitting, standing, and setting up training sessions are involved. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and lift up to 25 pounds. Evening work may be required on occasion.
Exposure to Confidential Information:
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow policies and procedures. Must comply with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
Design & Evaluation
•Collaborates with leadership to assess training needs, identifying skill gaps and development opportunities.
•Supports senior leadership on the development and administration of agency-wide culture initiatives and related training programs.
•Oversees the design and delivery of training programs for ACH, OCOK, and social business ventures, aligning them with organizational goals and community needs.
•Partners with subject matter experts to create training modules that reflect the latest research and best practices.
•Delivers targeted coaching and development for staff to support employee growth and organizational success.
•Maintains effective orientation, technical, and in-service training programs to meet compliance standards and accreditation requirements.
•Continuously evaluates training effectiveness and makes improvements as needed to optimize program impact.
•Ensures full logistical support for course development, delivery, and evaluation, focusing on cost efficiency and effective outcomes.
•Oversees the organization and execution of classroom, on-the-job, online, and workshop-based training sessions.
Strategic Growth & Compliance
•Leverages the Learning Management System, Absorb, for tracking, reporting, and optimizing training processes and performance metrics.
•Keeps all training programs up-to-date with current legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
•Manages internal communication strategies (e.g., intranet, newsletters) to promote training opportunities and increase staff engagement.
•Administers the departmental budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and developing pricing strategies to support growth.
•Develops and implements the Training Center's business plan, with a focus on revenue generation and long-term program growth.
•Leads marketing and outreach efforts to expand the Training Center's external impact, brand awareness, and client base.
•Fosters strong relationships across departments and with external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for training initiatives.
•Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with external clients and organizations to drive business development and foster collaboration.
•Assists with the development of strategic plans.
