Title: Plumber/Steamfitter State Role Title: 79033 Hiring Range: starting at $32,843 (commensurate based on experience) Pay Band: 3 Agency: Dept Behavioral Health/Develop Location: Western State Hospital Agency Website: https://dbhds.virginia.gov/facilities/wsh/ Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Plumber/Steamfitter who will provide plumbing services including trouble shooting, diagnosing, repairs, installation and preventive maintenance on the buildings and grounds at WSH and CCCA; to provide snow removal and emergency services as required; perform on-call, weekend and holiday maintenance coverage as directed by the supervisor; perform preventive maintenance (PM) on buildings and grounds in accordance with the work order control system- TMS; document work on the prescribed forms to include materials and hours expended on work orders; and install new equipment and communicate maintenance requirements to the work order control center - TMS. The Plumber/Steamfitter will also be responsible for the maintenance and repairs on Aqua recycle, water softener system, wastewater plant, laundry machinery -towel folder, washers, dryers, cart washer, scales, string tying machine, and ironer; assist other trades in the repair of utility systems; assist with disaster exercises or special events as directed by the Supervisor; and provide "on-call" coverage when scheduled on rotational basis. supervisor.
