OverviewThe Talent Management & Development team is a critical part of Alnylam's Human Resources organization, and is responsible for creating, supporting and executing our enterprise-wide career development programs, leadership enablement curricula, new hire orientation, performance management and talent review processes, succession planning, DE&I practices and other talent initiatives. We are seeking a Manager, Talent Development to support our ongoing work. This person will have responsibility for strategic planning and implementation of global company-wide programs, and will report directly to the Director, Talent Development and partner closely with other HR and Expertise Area teams across Alnylam. This is a highly visible role and a promising opportunity to be deeply networked across the company!Key ResponsibilitiesOwning of logistical preparation and execution for ongoing Career Development Elective Learning and Manager Enablement programs, and other larger learning events as neededLeading or supporting impactful virtual and in-classroom facilitation experiences for learnersCreating (or supporting creation of) digital asynchronous learning contentExecuting end-to-end program management responsibilities as neededResearching the latest in organizational L&D trends, technologies and practices, and working with our Learning team to investigate, evaluate and pilot fit-for-purpose solutionsIdentifying continuous improvement and innovation opportunities in our program content, delivery and strategy, by monitoring our experience survey feedback and using other methods of understanding how Alnylam employees and leaders best learnLeading the content planning and marketing communications to create internal awareness of and engagement with our learning opportunitiesCoordinating across teams, Expertise Areas (such as Internal Communications, DE&I, Employee Resources Networks, HR Operations) and senior leadership support to develop and execute workshops, events and marketing campaigns as neededOwning and cultivating relationships with external vendors and third party learning partnersMaintaining partnership with Chief DE&I Officer and team in continuously evaluating and developing company-wide external and internal programmingManaging, analyzing and reporting metrics of learning and learner experience through the calendar yearQualificationsBachelor's degree requiredAt least five years of prior professional experience in a program specialist or associate role, preferably in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, PR/Communications or program managementPrior experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) and/or Learning Experience Platform (LXP) strongly preferredDemonstrated experience managing internal stakeholders (such as senior business leaders or HR business partners) and multiple deadlines strongly preferredIntermediate to advanced level of Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook, basic to intermediate level of Microsoft Excel and SurveyMonkey (or other online survey platforms) preferredFundamental knowledge of adult learning principles preferred; instructional design knowledge or experience highly useful but not requiredTarget AttributesStrong ability to communicate with, engage and welcome others in a large group and individual interactions (virtually and in-person)Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detailHigh degree of comfort managing multiple deadlines and prioritiesImpactful communication capabilities in both written and verbal deliveryDemonstrated interest in employee experience and professional development, enabling a positive and impactful experience for colleagues at all levels globallyAbout Alnylam: Alnylam Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ALNY) has led the translation of RNA interference (RNAi) into a whole new class of innovative medicines with the potential to transform the lives of people afflicted with rare and more prevalent diseases.
