Vice President Finance

Company Overview:Our client is an expanding company in the mining industry, preparing for a Nasdaq Stock Market listing. The company is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance to lead the finance function, provide strategic financial guidance, and ensure the company’s financial integrity during its listing phase and beyond.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Serve as a key financial advisor to the CEO and executive team, guiding long-term financial planning, budgeting, and strategy.Lead all finance-related activities surrounding the company’s transition to a publicly listed entity.Develop and implement robust financial strategie and controls to support business expansion, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.Capital Markets and Investor Relations:Oversee capital markets activities, including equity raises, debt financing, and working capital management.Manage investor relations, ensuring clear communication and confidence with investors, analysts, and financial stakeholders.Financial Operations:Establish and maintain efficient financial systems, processes, and controls in compliance with SEC and SOX requirements.Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring excellence in day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, and tax.Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):Support the company’s M&A strategy, working closely with internal teams and external advisors on due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning.Experience & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA and/or CPA highly preferred.10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a publicly traded company or one preparing for an IPO.Strong capital markets and investor relations experience.Proven ability to lead and mentor finance teams.Expertise in M&A, SEC reporting, and compliance with SOX regulations.
