Local manufacturing company within the Charlotte metropolis is seeking a cost accountant with manufacturing industry experience for this on-site role. salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: Bachelors
Responsibilities
Manufacturing Industry RequiredAnalyze cost reports for raw material, work in process, finished goods inventory, and labor.Analyze production job costs throughout the month.Analysis of changes in product bill of materials, labor routers and effect on cost.Examine and review cost records and ensure cost data accuracy.Maintain cost accounting system for parts and equipment.Coordinate monthly and annual cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods warehouse.Assist Controller with annual plan of inventory needs and controls.Complete inventory reconciliations.Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statementsExecute month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and close of the general ledgerPrepare various reports as needed for the controller and CFO and other management as needed.Special projects as assigned.Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
