Our client is seeking a Director of Information Technology to oversee the strategic and operational leadership of the firm's IT functions. This role involves developing, implementing, and advancing technology strategies and operations that align with the firm's goals to drive success.

The Director will manage a team of about nine professionals and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the firm's IT operations, including cloud services, security, applications, network infrastructure, telecommunications, audio-visual systems, system integrations, support, litigation support, and technology training. Prioritize initiatives and ensure the IT strategy aligns with the firm's overall objectives, facilitating top-tier business operations and legal service delivery.Communicate IT goals and objectives to firm leadership, attorneys, and business professionals, maintaining strong communication with end-users. Serve as an advisor and partner to management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through automation and innovative solutions.Develop and manage the IT budget, contracts, and vendor negotiations, ensuring expenses align with industry standards and the value delivered to the firm. Maintain relevant operational metrics for IT functions.Provide guidance on all IT-related issues, including privacy, access, and security, ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.Ensure that information security measures, policies, operations, and training adhere to industry best practices, and enhance the firm's Governance, Risk, and Compliance program.Guarantee responsive 24/7 IT support for all end-user applications, infrastructure, and devices, ensuring high availability of systems and applications, along with effective disaster recovery and business continuity plans.Act as a key representative and technology advocate for the firm at external events, engaging in technology networking opportunities.Stay informed on current trends and best practices in legal and professional services IT strategies and management. Communicate the implications of new innovations, strategies, developments, and regulations, making informed recommendations.Foster a team-oriented culture focused on professional excellence and exceptional client service. Manage, mentor, and develop staff while implementing succession planning for key positions, ensuring alignment with the firm's vision.Qualifications:

15 to 20 years of extensive IT experience in a professional services organization - this is a MUSTProven experience in leading all areas of IT, including cloud, security, applications, network infrastructure, telecommunications, audio-visual systems, system integrations, support, litigation support, and technology training, along with familiarity with diverse technology platforms, systems, tools, and corresponding budgets.A dynamic energy level with a clear passion for work, strong work ethic, and a commitment to professional excellence that inspires confidence among management, attorneys, and stakeholders.Expertise in information security, including controls, policies, and protective technologies.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of conducting thorough analyses of business operations within a complex business framework.High initiative and critical-thinking skills, able to exercise independent judgment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment; capable of thriving in stressful situations and resolving issues swiftly.Excellent interpersonal skills, able to lead through influence and foster consensus for business strategies and decisions. Build strong working relationships with senior leadership, partners, and other key professionals, effectively handling sensitive inquiries and complaints.Exceptional presentation, writing, verbal communication, and listening skills, able to engage credibly and diplomatically with all organizational levels and external stakeholders.Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams dedicated to outstanding client service, teamwork, and professional excellence.An undergraduate degree is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
