Compensation

The base hourly rate for this position is $28.08.

Great Benefits, Vacation Paid, Holiday Pay, and Bonus

Pay Rate Ranges $29.07-$31.60

Position Overview

This is a skilled level position working to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment in the plant and coordinate with outside contractors on electrical projects. The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules. Employee must be dependable, able to follow instructions and directions, according to established operating procedures, performs the following duties while cooperating with all levels within the organization in support of the four Johns Manville core values:

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshot and repair all electrical equipment and motorsDesign and install new electrical systems and system modificationsCheck and calibrate process control instrumentation throughout plantAnnual inspection and cleaning of motor control centers and electrical switchgearMake adjustments to electrical parts of equipment and control systems where neededCoordinate with outside contractors on electrical projectsProgram and install programmable logic controllersFollow NFPA 70E electrical safety in the workplace standardsComprehend electrical schematics and blueprintsMonthly inspection of ISO temperature checks for ovensAnnual inspection for shorts in breakers, wiring and supervise testing for arc flashElectrical training for mechanicsOperate and perform duties using mobile equipment when needed

Education and/or Experience and Skills

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or completion of an Industrial Electrician Program from a qualified technical school; three to five years of industrial electrical experienceJourneyman license preferred
